Randall S. Fernandez was appointed City Manager of Marysville, Michigan in January 2014. As the City Manager Mr. Fernandez will provide our city council with policy recommendations, implement council direction and oversee the day-to-day operations of the city. He was previously the city’s Community Development Director/Assistant City Manager. Prior to joining the City of Marysville, he served over 28 years in many capacities with the City of Port Huron.
Mr. Fernandez’s experience spans more than 30 years and includes work in the public and private sectors. He began his career as a Community Development Specialist with the City of Port Huron and served in a number of other positions within the city including: City Treasurer; City Assessor; Water Office Supervisor; Downtown Development Authority Director and General Manager of McMorran Place. Mr. Fernandez was also the Director of Public Affairs at SEMCO Energy.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Arts degree in Management and Supervision with a Concentration in Public Administration from Central Michigan University. He has participated on numerous boards and in many civic activities throughout the years.
