The City Clerk is the official record keeper of the City Council and is responsible for preparing agendas and taking meeting minutes.
Archived meeting minutes of City Council and all Boards and Commissions are maintained by the City Clerk. Legislative actions such as codifying ordinances into the City’s Municipal Code are processed by the department.
The City Clerk serves as the City’s Election Official and administers all municipal elections and registers voters.
The City Clerk conducts all formal bid openings for the City, responds to Freedom of Information Act requests, coordinates appointments by the City Council to City Boards and Commissions, prepares resolutions and proclamations for the community, manages business, peddler and solicitor licensing, manages cemetery records and provides notary service.
