Welcome to the City of Marysville, Michigan

As a new resident or business or someone considering a move to Marysville, our Mayor and City Council Members warmly welcome you to our beautiful city.  Our city takes great pride in its small town, family-oriented atmosphere.  Many who relocate here do so because of our excellent schools and superior public services.  

Schools: Marysville High School ranks #75 in Michigan according to the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings.  The school has a 94% graduation rate.  Our city also contains three elementary schools and one middle school.

Safety: The City of Marysville maintains its own police and fire departments and ambulance service.  

Services: Our Department of Public Works is highly responsive to our residents’ needs.  Marysville is known in the area for its promptness in clearing roads of snow and ice.

Recreation:  The St. Clair River shoreline is the focal point in our City.  Public access is available along a 1.5 mile continuous stretch of land which contains Chrysler Beach, a boat launch, living shoreline/boardwalk and Veterans Memorial. 

Fifty-eight acre Marysville City Park (805 E. Huron Blvd.) is a regional destination containing a band shell, rental pavilions, pickleball/tennis/basketball courts, Bridge to Bay Trail connection, splash pad, ball diamonds, wi-fi access, charging stations, restrooms plenty of playground equipment and picnic tables and free parking.  The park is home to numerous events each year such as our Concerts in the Park series, Hot Wheels Weekend, Marysville Days and Little League tournaments.  

Morton Park (502 Busha Hwy.) is another community gem boasting a National Fitness Campaign Fitness Court, four-lane track, two soccer fields, skatepark, covered pavilion, Bridge to Bay Trail connection, restrooms and free parking facilities.  The park was renovated by St. Clair County Community College and is home to their South Campus.

Eighteen-hole Marysville Golf Course is another popular destination housing a club house, pro shop and seasonal Crossfire Grill.  The course  offers yearly memberships and hosts leagues and golf outings including its annual “Club Championship”.  During the winter many cross country skiers take advantage of the course's terrain.

Location: Marysville is located in southeastern Michigan and is situated along the St. Clair River.  The city is bordered by the river and Canada to the east, the city of Port Huron to the north, St. Clair Township to the south and Kimball Township to the west and is 7.3 square miles in size.  Our city is strategically located near I-94, I-69 and the US/Canadian border and is the ideal location for businesses or retailers looking to capture both the Canadian and American markets.

Economy: Our city’s industrial base still is heavily vested in the automobile parts industry, it has grown and diversified itself to include tape and package-sealing materials manufacturers; polyethylene foam products makers; propane and butane storage facilities and; ethanol production.  Many of these companies are continually expanding, hiring and reinvesting in our community.

Housing: Marysville’s housing is affordable and convenient and our residents enjoy life in this riverfront community for a reasonable cost.  Eighty-five percent of homes are owner-occupied.  Residents have a choice of single-family dwellings, condominiums and low-rise apartments.
