Women’s Warrior Workout

Attention all Ladies!  Block, Punch and Kick yourself into shape with the NEW Women's Warrior Workout.  Take advantage of a martial art workout without the formalities of a traditional martial art class.  This great cardio workout will burn those calories and includes muscle toning and stretching.  PLUS, learn  a new self-defense technique at the end of each class.

    Age: Women 12 yrs. & Up   

    Duration: November 3 - December 17 (7 weeks)     

    Day/Time: Monday 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. & Wednesday 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

    Cost: $42 Marysville Resident/$50 Non-Resident

      Combat Tae Kwon Do                 A Fitness/Fighting Program for Men

Learn “Tae Kwon Do” the way it was taught before it became a “sport”.  This is an excellent workout with a bonus, get in shape and learn to fight.  Exercises will cover strengthening, stretching, and cardio movements, along with hand strikes, kicks, knees, elbows, throws, ground fighting, and misc. weapons. 

Age: Men 14 yrs. & Up    

Duration:  Nov. 5 - Dec. 17

Day/Time: Wed, 8 - 9 p.m.                                    Cost: $40 Marysville Resident/$45 Non-Resident

Open Recreation Rules

 1.   All players must show rec. pass and a photo I.D..  Rec. passes must be picked up from rec. department after emergency card is filled out.

2.   Must be a City of Marysville Resident or School District Resident.

 3.   No swearing or using any other foul language deemed inappropriate by Recreation Staff or you will be escorted OUT of SCHOOL.

 4.   NO use of drugs or alcohol prior to or during open recreation time.

 5.   Arguing or fighting will result in suspension from Open Rec. for the rest of the year. 

 6.   Recreation Staff have FINAL WORD on all issues!!!

Adult Drop-in Recreation

All open rec. participants MUST HAVE OPEN REC. PASS from rec. department to be allowed in gym during open rec.  Please bring photo I.D. with proof of address with you to receive your pass from the Marysville Recreation Department.  

Open Recreation Programs are held at the Marysville Middle School.

         Yoga ~~~A Way of Life              The primary aim of YOGA is to reconnect the mind and the body.  We will teach you how to combine breath and body movements to relax the entire body, creating a balance between body, mind and soul.  This is a process that does require active participation. How much you benefit from your experience is up to you.

 Beginner -A calm and relaxing practice for both new and experienced students, as well as those who are recovering from health challenges.  Here you will learn the “Basics” of YOGA.  These classes are considered “progressive” and are based on consecutive weekly sessions.

 Intermediate- Enforcing the discipline of breath with body stretching.  A slow-flowing yoga practice, learning how to peacefully transition from posture to posture.   

    Monday:    10:30 a.m.—12 noon Intermediate                7-8:30 p.m. Beginner Students

   Thursday:   10:30 a.m.—12 noon Beginner                      7-8:30 p.m. Intermediate
