Fall 2018 Adult Recreation Programs

To register please visit Marysville Recreation Department during normal business hours at 867 E. Huron Blvd. or register online.  Please note you must first create an account when registering online.

Open Recreation

Morton Elementary School is available this fall and winter for drop in basketball and volleyball.  This program is open to people (16 & older) and children with adult supervision.  Please enter school through back parking lot.  Our Facebook page (Marysville Recreation Department) will list cancellations should they occur.

When: September 18, 2018 – May 2, 2019

  • Tuesday – basketball
  • Thursday – volleyball

Time: 7 – 9 p.m.
Cost: daily fee – $2 per resident; $4 per non-resident
Where: Morton Elementary School

Rockin’ Retirees with Deborah Forster

This class is for everyone age 50 and up whether you’ve been exercising or if you simply want to age in a healthy way.  This class will provides cardio, resistance, flexibility, core and balance training.  Every class is self-paced and chairs are provided for those who need them.  Join certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor Deborah Forster for a fun and energetic hour at the Marysville Community Center.  This is an ongoing program so join us anytime!  NO CLASS THANKSGIVING WEEK.

Dates/Days: November 6 – December; Tuesday/Thursday
Time: 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.

Cost: $10/6 classes; $20/12 classes

NEW PROGRAM! Sit to be Fit

A chair exercise for older adults and anyone needing slow and gentle movements.  It’s perfect for men and women.  Join Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor Deborah Forster as she guides the class in exercise focusing on core strength, flexibility and balance training.  Enjoy the company of others while learning the basics of becoming a healthier you.  NO CLASS THANKSGIVING WEEK.

Indoor Walking

Stay nice and warm while walking the halls of Marysville High School.  This program is open to the public beginning this fall.  We thank Marysville High School for allowing our residents to use their beautiful facility to help promote fitness.

When: Monday – Friday; September 18, 2018 – May 2, 2019
Time: 4 – 8 p.m.
Cost: FREE
