Summer 2019 Adult Recreation Programs

Open Recreation

Morton Elementary School is available this spring for drop in basketball and volleyball.  This program is open to people (16 & older) and children with adult supervision.  Please enter school through the front door.  Our Facebook page (Marysville Recreation Department) will list cancellations should they occur.

When: now – the end of May 2019

  • Tuesday – basketball
  • Thursday – volleyball

Time: 7:30 – 9 p.m.
Cost: daily fee – $2 per resident; $4 per non-resident. Season passes: individual – $30/resident/ $60 non-resident; family – $50/resident/ $100 non-resident
Where: Morton Elementary School, 920 Lynwood

POPULAR CLASS! Rockin’ Retirees with Deborah Forster

This class is for everyone age 50 and up whether you’ve been exercising or if you simply want to age in a healthy way.  This class will provides cardio, resistance, flexibility, core and balance training.  Every class is self-paced and chairs are provided for those who need them.  Join certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor Deborah Forster for a fun and energetic hour at the Marysville Community Center.  This is an ongoing program so join us anytime! 

Date/Days: Tuesday/Thursday; June 18 – July 25

NEW! Sit to be Fit

A chair exercise class for older men and women and anyone needing slow and gentle movements. Join personal trainer Deborah Forster as she guides the class in exercise focusing on core strength, flexibility and balance training. Enjoy the company of others while learning the basics of becoming a healthier you.

When:     Tuesday & Thursday, June 18—July 23
Time:        10—10:45 a.m.
Where:    Marysville Community Center
Fee: $20 (whole session)

NEW! Gentle Yoga

Have you always wanted to try yoga but didn’t know where to begin? Then this class is for you. No need to be intimidated by strange words and difficult poses. Modifications will be shown to accommodate every level including for those with back and knee pain. Certified yoga instructor and personal trainer Deborah Forster will lead you to success.

When:     Thursday, June 20—August 1
Time:        10—11 a.m.
Where:    Marysville Community Center
Fee: $30 (whole session)

NEW! Pickleball Courts

Visit our new courts at Marysville City Park and Morton Park to play a game that has been trending and gaining popularity in our area. Both courts will be completed by June 30, 2019 for use this summer and beyond!
