The Department of Public Works is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the City of Marysville by providing the highest quality of public works services and infrastructure to meet the needs of the community.
The purpose of the department is to promote and oversee the construction and maintenance of the City’s infrastructure such as water and sewer lines, facilities maintenance, maintenance of the City’s parks and cemetery, maintenance of the City’s motor pool, providing street maintenance, repair and snow removal.
Another function of the Department of Public Works is to monitor and oversee blight complaints for residential and commercial properties. Regulations regarding blight may be reviewed here in our Municipal Code of Ordinances. To make a blight complaint please call (810) 364-8340.
The Department is also responsible for turning water service off and on, providing emergency response services in times of need and supporting other City departments.
