The Community Development Department is available to assist you with your construction, planning, and development needs.

The Building Division conducts plan reviews on all applications for code compliance and issues building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing permits for all regulated work within the municipal limits.  Subsequent inspections are performed to assure that the work performed complies with the State Construction Codes in order to safeguard the public health, safety and welfare.

Construction permits are required to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish, or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert, or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical, or plumbing system.  Any questions regarding whether a permit may be required should be addressed to the City Building Official.

The Planning Division provides staff assistance to citizens, developers, and other interested parties on all site plan submittals, re-zoning requests, subdivision plats, right-of-way vacation requests, and changes to the City Master Plan or Zoning Ordinance.  Additionally, the Planning Division provides staff assistance to the Marysville Planning Commission and Marysville Zoning Board of Appeals. 

All commercial and industrial developments are coordinated through the plan review process by the Community Development Director.
